On Thursday 19th May, a representative from the charity Survival, as well as a Guarani tribesman, came in to give a talk during assembly.
Survival works with tribal people across the world who are facing threats from deforestation and the spread of agriculture amongst other things. The girls listened to a fascinating talk from a Guarani tribesman on his tribe’s traditional way of life and the ways in which they have been forced to adapt in response to these threats.
Many thanks to Survival for coming in for such a thought provoking and engaging assembly.
