On Friday 22nd May, our FHS community gathered in Battersea Park’s Millennium Arena for our much-loved annual Sports Day.
With a backdrop of glorious sunshine, it was a day that personified the sense of belonging and shared joy that makes our FHS community so special. Just as important as the phenomenal athletic performances, with several school records being broken, was the fact that the girls finished well, regardless of the outcome, and celebrated one another’s successes with heartfelt enthusiasm. Congratulations to Fonteyn, our winning House, to our other three Houses and to our individual athletes, all of whom should feel very proud of themselves.
We are immensely grateful to our PE Department, who put months of hard work, thought and care into making the day such a success. In their own words: “The PE Department would like to thank all those involved in running and implementing such a successful and joyful Sports Day. We can’t thank you enough for your dedication, kindness, and support on the day. We are a team and community at FHS and we hope everybody involved feels that we all play a vital role in offering an inclusive and enjoyable experience.”
What better way to conclude a fabulous half term and get us even more excited for everything to come this summer!
