This week, we were thrilled to welcome Suzanne Heywood to our Sixth Form Speaker Programme. Suzanne shared captivating stories about her extraordinary childhood, much of which was spent living on a boat as her family travelled around the world. Growing up in such an unconventional way, she faced unique challenges and adventures that few can imagine. She also discussed her new book, which provides a deeper look into these remarkable experiences that have shaped her life and career. Suzanne’s journey is a powerful reminder of the importance of resilience and determination, especially in the pursuit of education, which she continued despite the obstacles of her nomadic childhood. Her story is an inspiration to all of us to strive for knowledge and embrace every learning opportunity, no matter the circumstances. We are incredibly grateful to Suzanne for taking the time to speak with us and for generously answering all our questions with warmth and insight.
