This week, we welcomed Farah Nayeri to speak to the Lower Sixth and some of Year 11. Farah is a journalist, author and podcast host. She told us about her life as the daughter of a diplomat and how it influenced her decision to become a journalist. We heard about her fascinating career path and her best anecdotes from her time as a journalist. Farah has recently written a book, titled ‘Takedown: Art and Power in the Digital Age’ which we are lucky enough to own a signed copy of in our Sixth Form library. We had a great discussion of topics such as the paid and fake news gap and the problem of AI in art in the Q&A section of the talk. Farah is an inspiring female role-model for all of us, and we thank her for the time she spent speaking to us.
