This week we welcomed Dr Sabina Shamsad. Dr Shamsad is a doctor who worked in an A&E ward during the COVID-19 pandemic. She told us her inspiring story of the struggles she had to overcome to become a doctor and the challenges that the pandemic presented for doctors and nurses all around the country. Especially Southend Hospital, which was one of the most impacted and was the hospital she was working at during the pandemic. She presented us with many hopeful messages about resilience, perseverance and that grades do not define our worth. We were all extremely grateful to have Dr Shamsad take the time to come to speak to us!
