On the 29th January, FHS girls in Years 7, 8 and 9 travelled to the Queen Mother’s Sports Centre for our annual swimming gala.

There was record attendance as the girls took to the pool eager to win points for their houses. The events started with the Individual Medleys, the hardest event in swimming. The competitors fought hard with four girls taking home the gold medals for their performances.

School records tumbled, personal bests made and brilliant performances were achieved by all the girls. The highlight of the morning was the ever popular Year 9 Float Relay which saw a super win for Franklin.

Woolf were the overall winners on the day but special mention should be given to every girl who pushed themselves out of their comfort zone to participate in such a super school event
