On Wednesday 17th June, the Senior School girls took part in the most competitive sports day to date. It was a beautifully sunny day at Battersea Park and the girl’s enthusiasm and joy was heightened by the excitement and buzz surrounding the upcoming events.

With face painting generating team morale the girls took to the track and field events and immediately school records started to tumble. Special mention must go to Sara in Year 7 and Mia in Year 9 who both smashed outstanding records in multiple events. The final event of the day; the relays, saw the top two houses facing off to secure the overall win. The girls performed exceptionally well and their technique and baton change overs were precise. The same could not be said for the staff teams who did not fair quite as well against the power of the Franklin team in the final Staff Vs Student relay.

All competitors should be proud of their performance at Sports Day, as well as their positive spirit and team morale. Franklin were named overall champions of the day after a closely run set of relays. Well done all!
