To raise awareness for World Cancer Day, it was Mufti Day at FHS on Wednesday 5th February. The girls and staff dressed up in 1980s themed costumes in aid of the CRIS Cancer Foundation.

The school was teeming with side ponytails, neon colours and leg warmers. A catwalk was held at break time and a huge effort was made by the pupils. It was fantastic to hear that many of them had spent time talking with their families about the 1980s of their youth.

The girls also heard about the work that CRIS does to fund research into rare forms of cancer. Notably, 95% of donated funds go directly to funding research at CRIS, with only 5% of donations spent on necessary overheads.

Thanks to the generosity of our girls and parents, we raised an incredible £1024.20 for CRIS Cancer! Go FHS girls!
