On Friday 12th June, the whole of the lower sixth had the opportunity to learn valuable leadership skills, through a fun and interactive workshop provided by Team Think.
We learned about tactics to enhance our presentations and we explored the many leadership styles available and how to be confident, assertive and inspirational leaders! Actually, the leadership team – the Head Girl team, the Ambassadors, the Games Captain and House Captains – has now had two full days of training. We really think this will make a difference to the way we lead the school.
During the session on Friday the whole year came together and we learned about the different roles people can take in teams. We practised effective communication and had fun doing exercises to show us how to achieve a goal in unison.
We all thoroughly enjoyed this educational, motivational and enjoyable workshop. And I think we all ended the day determined to harness and apply the many skills we had been taught, not only as members of the Upper Sixth at Francis Holland but also in our future careers and endeavours.
