The rain couldn’t dampen the spirit of the Junior School on Friday as the pupils celebrated Harvest Festival at St Mary’s Church.
The altar was covered with a colourful display of tins of soup, bags of pasta and boxes of biscuits. We would love to thank Mrs Floyd and the stunning voices of the year 4, 5 and 6 Chamber choir for performing so well, beautifully accompanied on the strings by Rita L and Imogen G in year 6. Well done everybody! A special mention must go to Year 1’s fabulously decorated harvest hats which stole the show, the excellent year 4 drama and KS1’s maraca shaking! As well as the many food donations, we also raised £203.65 for InDeep and the Katherine Low Settlement. Thank you so much for all your generosity this Harvest.
Also, a big thank you from us all for your generous food donations this week. We have been so delighted with the vast array of goodies that have filled our junior hall over the past few days. We will be packing it all up to send over to InDeep (a local charity befriending the elderly and lonely in our community) who we are sure will be so grateful for your generosity.
