Music continues to flourish in the Junior School and it has been a joy to hear over 150 individual and ensemble performances during the music competition this week.

Our adjudicator and Director of Music, Miss Vickery has been most impressed with the standard of playing, the girls’ enthusiasm and the range of repertoire. She urged the young musicians to keep working hard at individual practice and to embrace opportunities for group music making.

The prestigious Young Musician of the Year 2018 award goes to Christiane who moved us all with a sensitive, mature and technically assured rendition of an arrangement for cello of Brahms’ song, ‘Wie Melodien’.
