The Junior School celebrated International Day on Thursday 25th March. By 8.15am, the playground was transformed into a sea of vibrant colours, as the girls eagerly guessed the flags being represented by their friends.

The day began with a spectacular celebration of cultures in assembly. Each year group in the upper bubble performed a musical piece from their designated country. Year 6 were on the drums, representing Africa, while Years 3, 4 and 5 sung traditional songs from Canada, Brazil and India.

Throughout the day, the girls participated in a wide range of activities to complete their International Day passports. 3 dimensional maps were made out of coloured salt dough, dances were learnt and travel brochures were made.

It was a fantastic way to spend the penultimate day of term; the most joyous celebration of cultural diversity and world mindedness.
