During the Easter break, our Art Historians enjoyed a staycation in London, visiting some of the major sites and masterpieces on their syllabus.
Our girls started the day on the tube, taking in Norman Foster’s stylish Canary Wharf underground station. This was followed by a visit to the British Museum and St Paul’s Cathedral, where pupils had the opportunity to see antiquities, a Buddhist sculpture and the work of Sir Christopher Wren. After a short walk across the Millennium Bridge, our girls found themselves in the cavernous Turbine Hall of Tate Modern. The day ended with a relaxing boat trip to Embankment and the National Gallery.
