Students from the Lower Sixth, mostly from the History of Art set, went to Florence and Venice over the October half term.

We saw countless masterpieces and monuments from each city, but for the girls the highlights were the paintings in the Uffizi and the Tintoretto’s in the Scuola Grande di San Rocco. We were blessed with sunshine and indulged in pizzas, pastas and ice creams. We returned home just before the floods beset poor Venice.
