On Wednesday after school, the Head Girl Team, the Ambassadors and the Head of Houses took part in a three hour leadership workshop with a company called the ‘Unreasonables’.

We were instantly thrown into a task where we had to build the tallest structure possible in teams of three out of raw spaghetti, marshmallows and masking tape. This was just one of the many enjoyable exercises we took part in which taught us a lot about ourselves and also how to work effectively and efficiently as a team. We were also taught how to write a well-structured 45 second speech and how to deliver it in an engaging and captivating way to the audience. The Unreasonables introduced us to unique and exciting games that taught us how to boost each other’s confidence whilst using each other’s strengths to achieve the best outcome possible. Towards the end of the session, we discussed what makes a meeting good or bad and how to get our view across to a group of people. Finally, we finished by writing a letter to ourselves that we will open in a year’s time. It was an interesting session that will, no doubt, equip us with the necessary skills as we leave school and start the next chapter of our lives. It made us think clearly about what we want to achieve in the next coming year. Overall, the session was extremely useful and we had an enormous amount of fun bonding as a group and building on the strong relationship we already have, they made us realise our potential and how together can achieve so much. The Unreasonables were incredibly inspiring and we all left the session feeling very positive and extremely excited for our year ahead.
