On Friday 25th September, our entire pupil and staff body gathered in the stunning surrounds of Holy Trinity Church, Sloane Street, for our annual Harvest Festival Service.
Led by Revd van der Hart, the service encouraged us all to give thanks for our good fortune, to help those who are less fortunate and to practice our school values of love, hope and courage in all areas of our lives and relationships.
Highlights of the service included a reading from’ The Parable of Sower’ by Mrs Haydon, a talk on ‘The Farmer and the Field of Your Heart’, an introduction to Hammersmith & Fulham Foodbank by our Charity Ambassador, Bella, prayers led by our Deputy Head Girls, Chloe, Tally in the Upper Sixth and Sole, Margot and Carolina in Year 9, a beautiful performance of the late Brian Doerksen’s ‘Faithful One’ by our Senior Choir and Lower Chamber Choir and, of course, the opportunity to sing some of our favourite hymns!
Huge thanks to Revd van der Hart, to all our readers and performers and everybody who made the service so special, memorable and moving. We are also immensely grateful to everybody who donated so generously to our Harvest Festival collection. All donations will go to our charitable partner, Hammersmith & Fulham Foodbank, and will make an invaluable difference to the lives of vulnerable people in the local community.
