On Tuesday 6th March, the Friends Of Francis Holland hosted their annual Junior School Quiz Night, where over 80 parent guests attended.

Quiz Master Luke did a fantastic job; his questions covered topics ranging from geography to guessing band members. Every table, in teams representing their daughter’s year group, got involved and the competitive atmosphere grew as the quiz progressed. The battle to win the top prize of the night (a mufti day for an entire year group) was hard fought by ‘University ChallengeÂ’, the Year One parentsÂ’ table, who managed to retain last yearÂ’s winnersÂ’ title and succeeded in the tiebreaker – apparently there are over 177,000 words in the Lord of the Rings (who knew?!).

The evening was held in aid of the FHS Annual Fund and parents generously donated a host of wonderful items to the School via the FHS Giving Tree throughout the night. Beanbags, Lego Robotics Kits and guitars were all snapped up and will be making their way to the girls to use at School by the beginning of the summer term.

The Senior Hall looked fantastic, like Spring had sprung as the tables were beautifully decorated with handmade flowers. LetÂ’s hope that life imitates art very soon!

A huge thank you to the Friends for putting on such an entertaining event, with passion and enthusiasm!!
