After a tough week of exams, many girls from Year 7 to Year 10 attended the Francis Holland Athletics Meet at Battersea Park.

It was a warm and sunny evening and the girls demonstrated a high level of skill on the day. The girls were against tough competitors and all 3 schools enjoyed participating in the various events in the competition.

Particular highlights of the day were:

Marina in Year 7 winning the Discus competition for her Year group, but also throwing the furthest in the whole competition.

Lucia in Year 7 winning the 200m race.

Isis in Year 8 comfortably winning the 1500m and Georgia in Year 9 coming a close 2nd in her 800m.

Francis Holland finished the event as the overall winners against Queen’s Gate and St Benedicts! FHS won the Year 7,8 and 10 age categories. Well done to all of the girls who competed in the event. We are very proud of the girls’ recent athletics commitments and the successes we have had. Several girls have been selected to represent Westminster in the London Schools Athletic Competition this Saturday. We wish the girls luck!
