On Thursday 12th June, FHS Sloane Square proudly hosted a fantastic morning of cricket at Battersea Park, welcoming teams from St Augustine’s, FHS Regent’s Park, and City of London School for Girls. Glorious sunshine set the scene for a day filled with skill, teamwork and excellent sportsmanship across all fixtures.

The tournament featured competitive matches in the U12, U13, and U14 age groups. FHS Sloane Square delivered a strong showing across the board, with the U12 and U13 teams both securing first place, and the U14 team finishing a commendable second in their age group.

The level of competition was particularly high in matches against City of London School for Girls, with all three FHS squads rising to the challenge and demonstrating great composure under pressure.

Special recognition goes to three U12 players who stood out in their performances: Cora was named ‘Most Valuable Bowler’, Nell earned the title of ‘Most Valuable Batter’, and Ida was awarded ‘Most Valuable Fielder’. Their contributions played a key role in their team’s success.

It was a thoroughly enjoyable morning of cricket, made even better by the players’ positivity and enthusiasm. A huge well done to everyone who took part and represented FHS Sloane Square with such pride and determination. We look forward to hosting our annual cricket tournament again next year!
