From Monday 16th to Wednesday 18th November, the annual Fanny Davies Festival of Music took place.

Fanny Davies was a pianist of international renown at the turn of the nineteenth century and taught pupils at Francis Holland School. Described as a ‘wild young woman’ by George Bernard Shaw for the apparent lyricism and emotion of her playing, her legacy to us is this wonderful annual celebration of musical talent. With classes in everything from voice to instrumental ensemble, the Festival saw performances from the youngest Lower School pupils to the Upper Sixth, and it was pure joy from start to finish.

Congratulations to all of the winners for their superb performances.
