Day 1
They’re off! The girls were raring to go this morning, and what a lovely sunny day for their journey!
Day 2
The girls are sailing today and visiting local sites. They have been lucky enough to enjoy some sun whilst on the water!
They have also enjoyed a lovely walk to a church. In the evening, the girls began their very own version of ‘Come Dine With Me!’ by making dinner for themselves plus two teachers. One group made an apple crumble, whilst another made chicken stuffed with cheese and wrapped in bacon. Well done girls!
Day 3
Today, the girls have visited a local nature reserve and enjoyed sailing and rowing.
Day 4
After breakfast, the girls are playing an epic game of buccaneer. The teachers and exploration society leaders are playing the role of pirates. The girls are finding treasure then exchanging treasure with the ‘pirates’. For instance, one pirate will take a gem in exchange for giving the group of girls a ferry ride to a nature reserve in which they’ll find the next part of the treasure hunt.
One part of the buccaneer game will involve attempting to accurately catapult ‘cannon balls’ (tennis balls) at a barge containing pirate Miss Davidson. Another involves making a potion out of glitter and a liquid to make ‘invisibility potion’. The girls have to decode clues and a code whilst using a map to locate various kinda of treasure.
See below the girls trading a silver bar for a ‘goblin skull’!
Day 5
We’re on the coach on our way to the beach to see the UK seal colony that lives by the north sea. We are then heading back to school.
