This week saw the exciting launch of our co-curricular clubs programme, and it has been wonderful to see so many pupils embracing new opportunities and pursuing their interests with enthusiasm.
One of the highlights has been the first session of our Chelsea Fashion School Club, where pupils began developing their basic sewing skills. Their creativity and eagerness to learn were evident from the outset, and we look forward to seeing their projects take shape over the coming weeks.
We have also welcomed the introduction of a new Chess Club, which has already attracted a strong and enthusiastic group of players keen to challenge themselves and develop their strategic thinking skills.
It has been particularly encouraging to see such strong engagement with current affairs and global issues. More than 60 girls attended our Model United Nations (MUN) meeting this week, with many also expressing an interest in joining Politics Society and Current Affairs Club. We are delighted that FHS pupils are so engaged with geopolitical events and eager to broaden their understanding of the world around them.
Elsewhere, auditions for the School Musical are well underway, alongside swimming and netball trials. I greatly enjoyed speaking with Year 7 pupils about their experiences and hearing how much they were enjoying taking part. Their enthusiasm, confidence and willingness to get involved have been truly wonderful to see, and they have made an excellent start to the term.
