This Thursday Year 9 went on a trip with the Classics department to the Troy: Myth and Reality exhibition at the British Museum.

The girls researched key artefacts and stories about various different characters from the Trojan War as part of a larger project, which they will present to their peers in their Latin classes next week. The exhibition is truly excellent; one pupil commented that while she often finds museums boring this collection of frescoes, vases, books, paintings, and recorded drama was truly fascinating. The myths concerning Troy may be millennia old, but the humanity of their themes and their characters still resonates strongly with us today.
