The Year 10 Classical Civilisation group enjoyed a Roman cena (a dinner party) this term.

We all contributed some traditional Roman foods (pomegranate, grapes, LOTS of nice bread, cheese, and red grape Schloer as a wine substitute… the humous might not have been so very authentic but it was very nice). The classroom was already (very conveniently) laid out like a Roman triclinium (dining room), and obviously the girls had to try reclining as the Romans used to do!

It was delicious, and a lovely way to end a long school day. gratias vobis ago! (Thank you all)
