On Thursday 17th March, Chickenshed came into school for Alice In Wonderland themed workshops with Years 5 and 6.

There were smiles all round as the girls were encouraged to develop their own wacky, fictional character to attend the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party. After moving around the hall led by a particular body part (the nose and knee being particularly memorable choices!) the girls learnt a tea party themed dance. This was then added to a short scene put together by the girls themselves, which of course included the famous phrases ‘curiouser and curiouser’ and ‘why is a raven like a writing desk’!

Though the workshop was only 45 minutes long for each year group, the girls managed to accomplish a tremendous amount in this short time, rounding off the session with a performance which included both choreographed dancing and acting! Well done girls and thank you very much to Chickenshed for such a wonderful afternoon.
