On Thursday 7th March, almost 50 girls from Years 10 and above took part in a Campaigning Workshop led by Amaya, an industry expert from The Childhood Trust.

Girls were encouraged to identify the best questions to ask and the best people to speak to if they are to turn their good will and intentions into meaningful action.

This event built upon the spirit of activism that has permeated through school following the Youth Strike 4 Climate earlier this year. Girls are being encouraged to think about what meaningful steps they can take to become compassionate and effective activists.

We’re also delighted at this moment to launch our FHS Activist Starter Pack, which includes a series of questions young activists will need to ask themselves, as well as helpful examples of young female activists and their experiences of campaigning.

It’s available here and best viewed on a smart phone or tablet.

We’re committed to amplifying and directing the girls’ enthusiasm for good causes at FHS, and hope that this can be the moment that inspires our girls to proactively engage in solving society’s problems.
