On Saturday 26^th January, four teams from our School participated in Bristol University’s Schools Debating Competition in the Wills Memorial Building.

During the course of the day, our girls debated four challenging topics, with motions ranging from ‘This House would ban combat sports such as boxing and mixed martial arts’ to ‘This House would criminalise climate change deniers’. From start to finish, our debaters showed enthusiasm and determination as well as some excellent argumentation. Freya and Marysia came 7^th overall, with Caterina and Aisling close behind them in 8^th place. First-time debaters Allegra and Fleur came 10^th and Bella and Amber were 14^th.
