The Autumn Concert was very successful and enjoyable. Lots of girls were involved including all of year 7 singing ‘He’s got the whole world in his hands’.
The choirs sang beautifully, the Jazz group swung brilliantly and there were some lovely solos, particularly Cecilia Frering’s moving performance of ‘Someone to watch over me’ by Gershwin.
The concert was brought to a noisy finish with a rousing performance of ‘Mars’ and ‘Jupiter’ from Holst’s Planet Suite, to which the audience stood and sang ‘I vow to thee my country’.
