We are delighted with the 100% pass at A level this year, and particularly that almost all the grades were A* to C grades – the highest since the more rigorous reformed A levels were introduced.
National headlines report the reduction in top grades across the country as the Government continues its drive to halt grade inflation, but we are very pleased that our students have outperformed their baseline predictions and enjoyed significant valued added to their expectations. Importantly, we have seen them experience unprecedented success in the university applications and all our students are now placed at universities of their choice or embarking on their planned gap year. Our AS level results are promising, with several students achieving A grades in almost every module. Of particular note are the outstanding EPQ (Extended Project Qualification) results which reflect the independent research and dissertation skills our pupils learn, which are of such value to the most competitive universities.
