On Thursday 18th June, pupils, parents, friends, alumni and teachers gathered for our much loved annual A Level Art Show. The calibre of the work on display was astonishing and we are immensely proud of our A Level artists.
This year’s show was particularly special as it was our wonderful Head of Art, David Edes’s last show before he retires at the end of the Summer Term after 23 years of outstanding service to the school. Mr Edes has not only offered extraordinary levels of inspiration, guidance and wisdom to our artists for over two decades, but also is one of our most popular teachers due to his infinite warmth and kindness. Mrs Haydon gave a moving speech thanking Mr Edes for his invaluable contribution, before he was presented with an incredibly thoughtful portrait painted by our very own Dr Upcott…!
