Over the Easter holidays, Headmistress Mrs Elphinstone hiked the 180km Annapurna Circuit, crossing the 5,416m Thorong-La Pass, the highest in the world, to raise funds for the Elphinstone Scholarship, enabling girls who demonstrate the promise to succeed the opportunity to benefit from an FHS education, regardless of their background.
The Elphinstone Scholarship aims to provide a scholarship for a little girl to come to Francis Holland School who might learn rather differently from others but who has the potential, creativity and courage to make the world a better place.
It is our goal to raise £500,000 before Mrs Elphinstone leaves Francis Holland at the end of this academic year. Raising this amount will ensure the Elphinstone Scholarship runs in perpetuity, meaning that this opportunity will endure for countless future FHS girls. Please support using the link below.
