RESULTS & DESTINATIONS
Each year, our pupils achieve excellent public exam results and progress to leading UK and international universities. These achievements are the result of a close and dynamic partnership between students and their teachers.
GCSE Results
The Class of 2025 achieved exceptional GCSE results, with 44% of all grades at the top grade 9 and 71% at grades 9–8. In total, 87% of grades were awarded 9–7. These results are a testament not only to the academic strength of this cohort but also to their commitment, perseverance, and the guidance of their teachers.
Each year we see exceptionally strong value-added performance at GCSE and A Level. Girls consistently achieve grades that are higher than those predicted by their baseline scores. At both GCSE and A Level, our public exam results are, on average, half a grade higher than the baseline predictions, consistently placing us amongst the leading independent school nationally by this measure and demonstrating the excellent quality of our teaching and learning.

A LEVEL RESULTS
2025 marked another exceptional year of A Level success at Francis Holland Sloane Square, with results that firmly reinforce our standing among the leading schools in the country. This year’s cohort has achieved the school’s best ever percentage of A* and A grades outside of the Covid-adjusted years, building on last year’s impressive performance and continuing a clear upward trajectory. Such success is a testament to the dedication, resilience and ambition of our students.
These achievements are shared by the entire school community. They are the result of a close and dynamic partnership between students and their teachers; educators who inspire curiosity, encourage bold thinking and challenge each individual to exceed their own expectations, all while fostering joy and creativity in the classroom.

EXTENDED PROJECT QUALIFICATION
The EPQ projects of 2025 showcased a remarkable breadth of interests, and we are delighted with the outstanding results: 79% at A*–A and 100% at A*–B. With universities and employers increasingly valuing the research and independence the EPQ develops, this qualification continues to provide our students with skills that will serve them far into the future.
Leavers' Destinations
The consistently excellent performance of our students is underpinned by an academic and pastoral programme that builds resilience and a growth mindset. As well as gaining places at the highest tariff universities in the UK, significant numbers of our students progress to art colleges, conservatoires and drama, film or fashion school, as well as to Oxbridge and international universities.
In 2025, 87% of students achieved their first UCAS choice, and 100% received their first or second choice. King’s College London, Durham and Edinburgh were our most popular destinations with seven students going to each and a further five to St Andrews. Two won offers from Oxbridge. 15 in total went to international universities. Usually between a quarter and a fifth of the year group take a gap year; we fully support post qualification applications and find that universities like them too.
We are so proud of our students for having the originality and creativity to study a wide variety of subjects. Their interests range from engineering and Formula 1 to film school and drama, via International Relations and Economics. The support they are offered in school means that they feel confident to investigate and apply for new subjects – and new countries. We love hearing back from them and seeing them in school as alumnae to support current students.
