Introduction to the Senior School

Francis Holland Senior School is an academically selective school with girls drawn from both our own junior school and a broad range of feeder preparatory and primary schools. The school is two-form entry, but the year is divided into three teaching groups for most subjects and at GCSE, many classes are even smaller.  The combination of small teaching groups and well qualified and committed teachers means that every girl is helped to achieve her full potential.

The school's last Independent Schools Inspectorate Report described us as having 'excellent pastoral care in a friendly, supportive community' and both pupils and parents have ready access to the Head and teaching staff.  Girls are encouraged to show concern for each other and also more widely by their involvement in charitable and community projects.

The school has a strong reputation in Music, Drama and sport and enjoys good facilities for each.  Its central London location means that we are able to take advantage of an excellent range of local museums, galleries and theatres to support the curriculum.
