At Francis Holland School we believe that it is essential to engage students' interest in Mathematics if we are to develop their thinking in a structured and logical fashion, to solve problems in the real world. This is not only a skill for life but a vital part of every student's intellectual development. We use ICT as an integral part of our mathematics teaching. Computers can do many mathematical tasks for us; however, technology does not help us if we do not have a plan. Mathematics is all about thinking clearly and applying the correct mathematical tools to solve a problem. Some of these tools are thousands of years old, yet still relevant today.
