Francis Holland students took part in a tree planting project in conjunction with the Woodland Trust to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee. Following a whole school assembly given by Year 7 and the Environmental Group, tree saplings were given to sixty girls who took them home to plant in their gardens. A total of sixty trees were planted including silver birch, rowan and cherry trees. One lucky girl received a Royal Oak Tree, grown from the seed of an oak tree from one of the Royal Estates. We hope the trees will grow and the girls will be able to show their handy work to their grandchildren in years to come.
