The Geography Department is based in a recently built, bright and airy, purpose designed classroom with ample south facing windows . This is well-equipped for all the needs of a modern geography room with an interactive whiteboard using numerous appropriate types of software including interactive Ordnance Survey maps as well as web-based resources such as Google Earth and Worldmapper. The department has a remotely read electronic weather station and is in the process of developing the use of hand-held SATNAV in the carrying out of fieldwork. Fieldwork is regarded as an integral part of any geography course and is carried out at each Key Stage.
