Francis Holland School - English:Beyond the Classroom

Our central location allows us to make maximum use of the numerous, superb theatre productions on offer in London. This enables us to take our teaching beyond the classroom and breathe life into texts being studied. Recent trips have included visits to see the award-winning production of Othello, as well as Doctor Faustus and Much Ado About Nothing at the Globe.

Book clubs, run in conjunction with Mrs Curran, our Librarian, are offered for girls in each year group and these meet every half-term. We also have a Literary Society, with regular scheduled talks from our girls, staff and external visitors.
