The annual Francis Holland Summer Barbeque once again brought smiles to all the girls and their families who came out to celebrate the "Myths, Legends and Fairytale's theme."
The gymnasium was turned into a "mini Olympia" with a variety of challenging games and obstacle courses. Meanwhile, the warm weather made the courtyard the place to be cooled off with the water pistol challenge. A lovely barbeque was served in the playground and those wishing for something sweet took their chance at the cake walk. The silent auction had some lovely baskets of goodies to bid on including tickets to the Wizard of Oz.
The Fire Poet in the Senior Hall engaged the children on a wonderful journey of poetry making. Close by the girls had their nails painted, learned how to make bracelets and had henna designs painted on their hands before taking a chance at the "Enchanted Tombola." It was a lovely day for all.
