The following article has been written by our semi-finalists of WOHAA who made a presentation in the House of Lords on their fund-raising experience:
For the last six months, many of us have been taking part in WOHAA. We were very lucky to be one of the groups chosen to go to the House of Lords for the semi-finals. This included a presentation to the founder of Wings of Hope and a number of other judges including Sir David Jason. It was an amazing experience and even though we were ridiculously nervous, it all came together on the day. On our arrival at the House of Lords we were told that they were running a bit late, which enabled us to have the lucky experience of having our photo taken outside 10 Downing Street, due to Mr Bennett’s connections. We feel so privileged to have been able to go to the House of Lords and WOHAA is an experience we will never forget.
