Play Competition

The annual Play Competition was held on Wednesday 8th July and featured performances from groups of girls in Years 7-10.  The standard was high and our judge, the distinguished producer and director, Vanessa Ford, had a difficult task to select the winners.

The competition was won by a Year 9 group with their performance of a scene from 'Rebecca'.  Sarah Brooke in Year 8 won the award for best actress in two plays, The Crucible and A Midsummer Night's Dream, and Stella Wharmby in Year 7 was best supporting actress in Daisy Pulls It Off and Pygmalion.  Talisa Wilmot in Year 8 was highly commended for her comic performance.

Thanks are due to Miss Leaf and Miss Pryce for their work towards making the competition such a success.
